1. Chemistry Testing: Plasma and Serum Separation
In chemistry, the goal is usually to get a clean sample of plasma or serum. The centrifuge uses centrifugal force to push denser components (like red blood cells) to the bottom of the tube, leaving the lighter analytes in the liquid above.
