1. Blood Bag Collection Scale Product Overview
Blood bag collection scale is a compact, high-precision blood collection scale designed to automate the mixing of donor blood with anticoagulants. By maintaining a constant, gentle agitation, it prevents clot formation while ensuring the final volume is accurate to clinical standards. Volume collection may be stopped with the use of the scale with interrupter.
2. Design & Form Factor
- Footprint: Optimized “Micro-Footprint” design, measuring approximately 9.84 x 7.0 inches (this is just slightly larger than a standard 450ml/500ml blood bag)
- Agitation Mechanism: Vertical Y-axis rocking to ensure thorough mixing without damaging red blood cells (hemolysis).
3. Blood Bag Scale Core Functional Logic
A. Automatic Agitation Control
- Mixing Frequency: Adjustable via the digital interface (Range: 10–40 cycles per minute).
- Preset Volume: Users can select standard volumes of (250ml, 350ml, 450ml, 500ml).
B. Two-Stage Collection Process (Precision Weighing)
To ensure maximum accuracy and prevent overfilling, the device utilizes a tiered weighing algorithm:
- Stage 1: Bulk Collection & Agitation
- The mixer shakes at the set frequency throughout the collection.
- Real-time weight monitoring is active.
- Stage 2: Precision Finalization (The “10ml Gap”)
- Once the weight reaches Target Volume – 10ml, the agitation motor automatically stops.
- The device enters “Accurate Measuring Status.”
- Interrupter activates with model BCM-12B
- This eliminates kinetic interference (vibrations from the motor) to ensure the final cutoff is precise to ±1ml.
